Vasai, Mumbai | February 12, 2026
PMAY affordable housing in Vasai is set for a major milestone this year. Suraksha Smart City is preparing to commence the phased handover of 5,868 homes for the Economically Weaker Section. The building-wise possession across Phase 1 marks one of the largest deliveries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana within an integrated township in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The project reflects Vasai’s rising profile within the Mumbai 4.0 development vision, as improved connectivity and planned infrastructure attract greater residential interest. By adding thousands of subsidized homes to the market, the initiative is expected to reinforce the affordable housing in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
Constructed using advanced precast technology and extensive mechanization, the township incorporates a 3D casting module that guarantees consistent build quality and faster execution. This approach has supported timely construction and durable structural standards.
The 1 BHK units are priced at ₹22.5 lakh, with eligible beneficiaries able to access a direct government subsidy of ₹2.5 lakh. Several buildings have already sought Occupation Certificates, and prospective homeowners have begun site inspections.
Located within walking distance of Vasai Railway Station, the development combines affordability with essential infrastructure and township amenities, strengthening Vasai’s position as an emerging residential hub.
