Pune, January 30, 2026: Godrej Properties Ltd has expanded its footprint in Pune’s expanding real estate market with the purchase of an 8.5-acre land parcel at Mahalunge for a new residential project. In a regulatory filing on Friday, the company said the land was bought through an outright purchase and will be developed primarily as a group housing project.
The proposed development is expected to have a total developable potential of around 2.1 million square feet and an estimated revenue potential of nearly ₹2,000 crore, underlining Godrej Properties’ confidence in Pune’s long-term growth prospects.
Commenting on the acquisition, Gaurav Pandey, MD & CEO of Godrej Properties, highlighted Pune’s position as one of India’s most dynamic urban centres, driven by strong infrastructure development and flourishing commercial hubs.
Godrej Properties continues to aggressively expand its land bank across key cities. The company has a strong presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune, Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR, and has recently entered the Hyderabad market, signalling sustained growth momentum in India’s residential real estate sector.
