Trichy's Tidel Park is growing, with 14.1 acres of land allocated near the new bus terminus, featuring more opportunities for IT.
14.1 acres of land near Trichy-Madurai national highway in Panjapur have been marked for the expansion of Tidel Park. This move came when the previous allotment of 8.9 acres was cancelled. Tidel management required more space for a larger office complex serving IT and ITES companies near the upcoming integrated bus terminus (IBT).
After the request of Tidel Park Limited to Trichy Corporation in September, the local body has agreed to transfer ownership of the 14.1 acres of land to facilitate the construction. The cost of transferring the land is 282 per square foot, and construction is expected to commence in March 2024.
Additionally, the local body has also approved a resolution to improve the roads at the Central bus stand with a budget of Rs. 1 crore. Even though the terminus will be relocating to IBT, the Central bus terminus will continue to serve as a city bus hub, and plans are in motion to create office space for government departments.
