Unveiling boundless horizons! Sify Infinit Spaces secures 1.5 lakh sq. ft. in Hyderabad, setting a new stage for innovation and collaboration.
In a strategic move to bolster its data centre capacity and accommodate its growing business, Sify Infinit Spaces, a subsidiary of Sify Technologies, has secured a substantial office space lease in Hyderabad. The property, nestled in the bustling Financial District of Nanakramguda, spans an impressive 1.5 lakh sq ft with five floors.
According to a lease deed document shared by Propstack, the lease period for the office space is 60 months, with a rent exceeding Rs 42, subject to a 3% annual escalation. It marks Sify's second significant transaction in the past year, following the earlier signing of an agreement for 96,000 sq. ft. of office space in the financial district, with a decade-long lease term commencing in 2022.
Currently operating 11 data centres with a combined capacity of over 100 MW, the Sify Infinit Spaces plans to add a colossal 350 MW to its infrastructure over the next four years.
To further boost its data centre capabilities, Sify Infinit Spaces Ltd. has partnered with Kotak data centre fund. According to the agreement, KDCF will invest up to Rs 600 crore (approximately USD 73 million) in the form of compulsorily convertible debentures of SIS. Furthermore, as per the updates, back in 2021, Kotak invested $135 million in Sify.
The funds raised from the partnership will be allocated to various critical aspects of data centre expansion, including acquiring land for new centres, securing alternative power sources, and debt repayment.
With these strategic moves, Sify Technologies is positioning itself as a formidable player in the ICT industry, ready to cater to the ever-evolving digital landscape of India. The company's commitment to innovation and expansion is expected to set new benchmarks in the data centre domain and fuel India's digital transformation journey.
