Scam-Hit Sahiti Infra Buyers Got Relief—Hyderabad

The Hyderabad district consumer disputes redressal commission-3 ordered a refund of the amount and compensation to 5 homebuyers.

A buyer, Vishwanadham Keshetti of Jeedimetla, filed a complaint for scamming that was against Boodati Laxminarayan, who is from Sahiti Infratec Ventures.

As an offer of pre-launch of their project, the company offered to sell the yet-to-be-constructed property to him at Rs. 48 lakhs. On 28th April 2021, Vishwanadham Keshetti agreed to pay the whole amount to buy that property. But, after endless enquiries regarding the property's progress, the company acted unresponsive and non-attendant towards him.

According to the commission, Sahiti Infratec failed to prove any property progress, which led to the punishment of refunding the whole amount along with an interest of 9%.

This company has also been ordered to pay a compensation of Rs. 50,000 and the cost of Rs. 5,000.

Another buyer, Chaluvadi Sridhar, got a refund of approximately Rs. 21 lakhs, and the other one, Yarlagadda Sravanthi, got a refund of Rs. 33.2 lakhs, and both of these buyers were awarded compensation of Rs. 50,000.
