Saint-Gobain is up for an investment of Rs. 3,400 Crore in Tamil Nadu. More jobs, better buildings, and a greener future await!

Saint-Gobain India, a big player in the glass and housing solutions sector, has an ambitious plan to invest a massive Rs. 3,400 crore into Tamil Nadu across various businesses. This investment is part of their promise to invest Rs. 8,000 crore in Tamil Nadu over the next 4-5 years.

This huge investment includes starting new projects and improving existing ones in various industries in the state. B Santhanam, the CEO of the Asia Pacific and India region and Chairman of Saint-Gobain India, articulated the company's vision, stating, "We are investing Rs. 3,400 crore across different businesses, spanning glass wool, gypsum plasterboard, plaster, acoustic ceiling, float glass, solar glass, adhesives, sealants, mortars, and ceramics. This marks our next phase of expansion in Tamil Nadu, and we are committed to elevating the standards of sustainable construction and innovation in the region."

The official announcement of this investment came after a significant meeting between Saint-Gobain's Global Board, led by Chairman Pierre-Andre de Chalendar, and CEO Benoit Bazin, with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin and key state government officials. This meeting emphasised the corporate giant's and state government's collaborative spirit in fostering economic growth and sustainable development in Tamil Nadu.
