Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), owned by Mukesh Ambani, has purchased a triplex apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) for ₹120 crore, according to property documents.

The apartment is located in Signature Island, a residential building in BKC. It extends to the 15th, 16th, and 17th floors and has a carpet area of 16,128.85 sq. ft. Based on the deal value, the price works out to approximately ₹74,401 per sq. ft. The property also includes four basement parking spaces.

The transaction was completed on April 28. RIL paid ₹7.2 crore in stamp duty, along with ₹30,000 in registration charges. RIL purchased the property from Joinwood Realty Pvt. Ltd., which was previously owned by Sunteck Realty, in 2021.

Signature Island is part of a residential complex developed in 2015 on land leased from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority. The project includes multiple towers with duplex and triplex apartments and is located in one of Mumbai’s key business districts.

In 2015, actors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor also bought apartments in the same complex at lower prices than current rates. Uday Kotak purchased an 11,000 sq ft apartment for about ₹55,000 per sq ft (₹60.5 crore) in 2015. In 2025, he set a new record by buying at ₹2.75 lakh per sq ft in the Shiv Sagar building at Worli Sea Face.

USV Pharmaceuticals chairperson Leena Gandhi Tewari broke this record in May 2025, when she purchased two sea-facing duplex apartments at Naman Xana, an ultra-luxury tower at Worli Sea Face, for ₹639 crore at ₹2.83 lakh per sq ft.
