Register Projects with RERA—Chairman of UP RERA Urges Real Estate Developers to Protect Homebuyers

UP RERA chairman encouraged promoters for project registration with RERA to secure buyer interests.

The chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), Mr Sanjay Bhoosreddy, has asked real estate promoters in the state to register their projects with RERA to safeguard the interests of homebuyers and stakeholders.

As of now, there are 3,467 projects registered with UP RERA. Among these, according to the official reports, 1,598 are in the National Capital Region (NCR), while 1,869 are in non-NCR areas of the state.

Mr Bhoosreddy is aware of Uttar Pradesh's vast population and the need for balanced development and regulation in the real estate sector. He believes that this balance can begin with project registration.

He says, "All builders working across the state must register their projects with RERA and serve the responsibility of safeguarding the interests of homebuyers, following the RERA Act."

Project registration protects the interests of homebuyers and strengthens the real estate sector by ensuring promoters adhere to regulations.

Mr. Bhoosreddy is also proud that about 3,500 projects have already been registered, which is a solid proof that the state's real estate sector is on the path of progress.

This call for project registration shows UP RERA's commitment towards ensuring a fair and secure environment for homebuyers and establishing a secured real estate sector in Uttar Pradesh.
