LinkedIn Commits to Stay in Mumbai with Lease Renewal for Office Space in BKC

LinkedIn secures its office in Mumbai's business hub for 5 more years, paying handsome rent and boosting professional's networking.

LinkedIn, the employment and business-focused social media site, has decided to keep its office in Mumbai's business district, Bandra-Kurla Complex, or BKC. They have renewed their lease for 18,000 square feet of office space in Maker Maxity Complex, BKC, and plan to stick around for five more years.

LinkedIn renewed its lease for six individual office units within the complex. The rent is Rs. 565 per square foot per month, which adds to a monthly lease payment exceeding Rs. 1 crore. This lease renewal will officially start in August 2024, and LinkedIn will have to pay a total deposit of Rs. 10 crore.

LinkedIn isn't just in Mumbai; they have offices in other important cities in India like Bengaluru, Gurgaon, and New Delhi. This widespread network contributes significantly to LinkedIn's role as a catalyst for professional growth and networking nationwide.

On a global scale, LinkedIn has made a remarkable presence. It has more than 950 million members worldwide; in India, it has 110 million members.
