Kharghar Turbhe Link Road Expected To Cut Down The Travel Time By 30 Minutes

In order to solve the heavy traffic congestion on the Sion-Panvel highway, the state has planned a ?2,195 crore worth Kharghar-Turbhe Link Road (KTLR) project which will cut travel time by around 30 minutes for motorists from Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.

The state has designated the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) as the nodal organisation to carry out the project, which is anticipated to be finished in three years.

Starting from Turbhe and reaching Kharghar via Juinagar, this link road assures an excellent commute as it avoids the usual route via Sion-Panvel Highway,Thane-Belapur Road and Palm Beach Road.

CIDCO has already prepared the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and the pre-constructions works have already commenced. The process for acquiring mandatory clearance from different agencies is underway.
