Illegal Properties of Seven Colonies on Government's Radar—Gurugram

The unauthorised and illegally built building in 7 colonies - DLF 1, 2, 3, 4 and Sushant Lok 1, 2 and 3 are under the radar of the Department of Town and Country Planning.

The General of the Department of Town and Country Planning, TL Satyaprakash, has notified the Gurgaon District Town Planners to take action against the unauthorised buildings constructed illegally. So, approximately 700 owners of illegal and unauthorised properties were sent issued notices within two weeks. The officials said that the drive will be done by 31 August 2023, and no one who falls under this category will be spared.

In the first phase, the issued notices were sent to 110 new properties of DLF Phase 3, 4, Sushant Lok 2, 3 and many others. Further, the number increased from 110 to 350, and till Wednesday (9 August 2023), the number went up to 700! DTP officials formed teams and were instructed to paste notices and issue orders on these properties.

Each day, approximately 50-60 property owners reach the office of DTP to file their replies against these issued notices and orders. The officials said the final sealing will be done on the properties whose owners will not answer satisfactorily.
