HDMC to Scrutinise Hubballi-Dharwad Smart City Work Before Handing Over

To ensure the best quality, a team of HDMC will inspect all sites and projects by HDSCL and scrutinise the quality, condition and other aspects.

Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) will soon start handling the development work by Hubballi Dharwad Smart City Limited (HDSCL). After the meeting by Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, the handling procedure will be finalised.

The team that will inspect the work will include the HDMC Commissioner, Ishwar Ullagaddi and several representatives of HDMC, and they will be the ones to take a conclusive call. This special team, along with several experts, will investigate the work, and if they think it needs some kind of improvement or progress, they will suggest this to the team!

Hubballi has many projects by HDMC that are still unused, and this is because of the pause in handling procedures that include Nehru Stadium, Chitaguppi Hospital, Janata Bazaar, Unkal Lake, Toy Train, Puzzle Parking, Indira Glass House, Mahatma Gandhi Park, several roads and many more! Even after the completion, these projects were not handed to HDMC.

Ishwar Ullagaddi said," In a week, all the inspection and other work will be completed, and the subject will be put before the HDMC general body. After taking consent from the general body, the handing over process needs to be done."

The DGM of Hubballi-Dharwad Smart City, Basavaraj Dharmanti, said," Now, if any changes or corrections are suggested, we need to check whether the Defects Liability Period (DLP) is there or over if DLP is over, then we have to request contractors and get the work done."
