In April 2023, Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Kamal Gupta directed officials to launch an awareness campaign to spread awareness among people of this initiative.

This initiative aims to provide relief to people living in urban areas, as per Nishant Kumar Yadav, the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram.

He also called upon the public to motivate defaulters to deposit property tax so that they can take advantage of this scheme.
