With innovative tech, Google is expanding its reach — announced fintech hub in Gift City, India.
Tech powerhouse Google has exciting news for India as it secures office space in Blackstone Group's Nucleus Office Park's Fintech One tower in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT). The move comes as Google India signs a ten-year lease, ensuring a minimum of five years and possibly extending for another five.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his welcome to Google during a virtual interaction, celebrating Google's intentions to establish its global fintech centre in GIFT City. Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google and Alphabet, shared the positive discussions with PM Modi on financial inclusion in India through UPI, thanking the Prime Minister for the productive meeting.
Fintech One, a towering 20-story office space with 22,000 sq. ft. floors, is attracting global giants like IBM, who have already begun operations across three floors. Google, which already has offices in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Pune, is making waves with this new addition. Notably, their Pune office, located in a coworking centre in Mundhwa, is the latest inclusion in their portfolio.
Moreover, Google is set to build its most extensive campus outside the United States in Hyderabad, emphasising its commitment to India and its growing influence in the tech world.
