Over 1,500 DDA flats booked in Dwarka's Sector 14! EWS and LIG units sold on day one of the booking. Over 32,000 homes up for grabs in Delhi's latest housing scheme.
Delhiites secured their dream homes as 1,500 flats sold like nothing on the first day of booking in Dwarka's Sector 14 under the latest housing scheme of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The demand was particularly high for economically weaker section (EWS) and low-income group (LIG) categories.
The registration for this much-anticipated housing scheme commenced on November 24, 2023, continuing through March 31, 2024. However, the eagerness to own a piece of The Capital prompted prospective homeowners to act swiftly. December 11 marked the initiation of flat bookings, and within hours, the DDA witnessed a surge in registrations.
A senior DDA official shared insights into the response, stating, "Around 1,500 flats have been booked so far in Dwarka, Narela, and Lok Nayak Puram, covering over 1,100 EWS and approximately 400 LIG flats. The total registration count under the first-come, first-served (FCFS) scheme has already reached 12,500."
This housing scheme extends beyond Dwarka, with Narela and Lok Nayak Puram witnessing a huge demand for affordable housing. The FCFS nature of the scheme adds an element of urgency, contributing to the swift depletion of available units.
Under the broader canvas of the housing scheme, more than 32,000 flats, each catering to diverse preferences and needs, await potential homeowners. As the booking window remains open until March 31, 2024, the anticipation and eagerness to secure a spot in Delhi's real estate landscape continue to escalate.
