The BMC has issued a speaking order to remove the Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) plant, which was operating illegally for more than three years, near the Imax theater, Bhakti Park, Wadala. The BMC M-West ward had earlier served a notice to the RMC plant.
As the operators of the plant had failed to submit any proof that the RMC plant was authorized, the M-West ward served a speaking order recently to Ashok Buildcon to remove it.
Though the BMC M-West ward office had received complaints about the RMC plant operating without permissions on an industrial scale in a residential layout, no action was initiated. Subsequently, Daundkar complained to the BMC zonal deputy municipal commissioner Harshad Kale, who then directed M-West ward officials to act on it.
