John Abraham's House: Villa in the Sky

Rightly named "Villa in the Sky," John Abraham's penthouse is spread over 4,000 sq ft and is situated on the 7th and 8th floors. It is located in Bandra West, Mumbai.

A new staircase was constructed to connect the two floors by removing internal walls and applying cantilevering techniques on the interior columns. The objective was to convert the duplex into a villa. Furthermore, the architects meticulously crafted this grand penthouse with an imprint of skilled architects and designers.

He built this Vastu Compliant Penthouse 2011 with a beautifully designed one-bedroom, one-bathroom, dining-living-kitchen area, media room, terrace and a balcony. His penthouse in Mumbai is worth Rs. 60 Crore.

This duplex residence has fantastic views of the Arabian Sea on one side and the picturesque Mount Mary Hill on the other. He designed this expansive two-level flat with a stylish wooden staircase. John Abraham's residence showcases a blend of modern and rustic accents, embracing an open-plan concept that integrates indoor and outdoor spaces.

The Master Bedroom

The master bedroom suite is built on the eighth floor and is adorned with rich dark tones. This luxurious space features a spacious walk-in wardrobe, a spa bathroom equipped with a Jacuzzi, a customised shower panel, shower trays, and a sea-facing balcony, separated by a double-glazed sliding door.

He designed the room in such a way as to enable ample natural light and ventilation to pass throughout. Dark-coloured wooden flooring is a consistent theme, creating a harmonious ambience. The master bedroom, adorned with minimal elements like a television and an expansive sea view, reflects a serene atmosphere.

The Drawing Room

The exquisite drawing room creates a charming French colonial ambience. The point of attraction is a round glass centre table adorned with authentic showpieces, complemented by a rug that introduces an earthy touch. Plush and comfortable, the greenish-grey and brown custom-made couches are positioned to receive abundant sunlight and fresh air through the dark wooden windows.

Huge French windows cover the entire wall, enhancing the room's appearance. In the background, he has carefully selected minimalist yet intricate wooden furniture that contributes to a vintage feel. The sitting area further enhances the overall minimalistic ambience.

Open Kitchen-Cum-Dining Area

Per the Vastu principles, the kitchen-cum-dining area is situated in the southeastern corner of John Abraham's house. The kitchen is divided into two sections – a dry area and a wet area. The dry kitchen, placed outside, has a brushed stainless-steel kitchen island and dark-toned steel shelves. The glass divider encloses the wet kitchen, serving as a practical enclosure and a space enhancer.

The outside area is for serving, while the closed inner space contains fumes for Indian cooking. An old teak tree was used to make the dining table and stools.

Gym

Being a fitness freak, John Abraham has built a personalised and customised gym for his daily workouts. The gym is the most used space in the whole penthouse. The gym consists of several state-of-the-art gym equipment. He also uses his smartwatch to track his daily workout regimens.

Terrace-cum-Media Room

He has a beautiful private media room on the terrace featuring concealed air conditioning, a large projector screen, and an advanced audio-visual system. The room offers a breathtaking view of the sea and an expansive wooden deck. This room provides a perfect setting for movie nights, soccer matches, or F1 screenings. The rest of the terrace is adorned with tropical bamboo plants, a walk-on skylight, and a glass balustrade, enhancing the overall ambience.

It is evident that John Abraham is a bike lover, so he has kept a separate space for his bikes within his penthouse. He has a vast knowledge of motorcycles and its mechanics. His collection of bikes and cars is perfectly arranged within the garage, which reflects a rugged masculine vibe. The garage is well-lit, with white-coloured tones, making it look even more spacious.
